Go Green!

The article said: inflammation has been linked to heart disease. What can I do to protect myself?

The meat of the article said:

One easy way to get anti-inflammatory foods? Go green. Think spinach, broccoli and Brussels sprouts. These foods deliver specific antioxidants that reduce inflammation. Broccoli even contains a compound that slows the growth of cancer cells. Whole grains also have been shown to reduce inflammation. Beans, peas and legumes can help stabilize blood sugar levels—fluctuating blood sugar levels can lead to inflammation and an increased risk for diabetes.

But it’s not just greens and grains that reduce inflammation: Herbs and spices like turmeric and cinnamon also have anti-inflammatory properties, so feel free to spice things up!
